My Offering to the Indigenous Community

First and foremost I honor and acknowledge the original tribal communities on whose land I am living and working: the Hokan groups including the Shasta and Karok people, the Penutian groups including the Takelma, Coos and lower Coquille people, and the Athabaskan groups including the Chetco, Tututni, Tolowa, upper Umpqua, Illinois, upper Coquille, Galice Creek and Applegate people.

I feel very present to the unresolved wounds suffered by the Indigenous people of the Earth at the hands of conquerors and colonizers. As a Caucasian woman of Ashkenazi tribal and Germanic descent I feel that it is important that I offer pro bono therapy services as a an olive tree branch of reparation. Doing my part to apologize and work to make amends for the trauma that cannot be undone.
